THE DESIGN CHALLENGE
Finding things online is always difficult and stressful.  I wanted to redesign BestBuy.com to make the shopping process easier for the user which at the end of the day also benefits the company and increases revenue.
Platform: Desktop
Critical Skills: User Research & Interaction Design
THE DESIGN PROCESS
USER FLOW
I wanted to show various ways the user could achieve the same outcome so I created a user flow with that in mind.
USER PERSONA
Suzanne usually shops for clothing and or  accessories online.  She's not much of an online tech shopper and not too tech savy but knows enough to get around.
ORIGINAL SITE MAP
A few members from class got together to break down the original site map from the exiting BestBuy.com to see how easy it was to navigate through.  Below is an image of the main frame work from the existing site
NEW SITE MAP
Cleaner, less complicated site map, showing the various ways a user can achieve their goal.
COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
In order to find the best solution to my problem, I compared BestBuy.com with one of it' biggest competitors Walmart.com.  Below you can see how both sites match up to each other.
